Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Maryland, Yauncey has always been gifted with an ability to capture a crowd. He became well known for his outgoing, laidback personality and his confidence, which we call Swagger these days. Yauncey got his start in the music industry by free-styling weekly on Hot 96.5's radio airwaves in Little Rock, Arkansas. His ability to effortlessly throw his East Coast punchline flow over Down South beats caught the ear of a Source Magazine Rep, who interviewed him in the Source Magazine's Unsigned Hype section.
As his momentum started to build, he was in demand as an opening act for artists such as Gueei Mane, Big Tuck, Lil Will, Rocko, Hakeem Da Dream and Yo Gotti. Soon Yauncey and his fellow CGC ent. partners had a hit single "Bank-rollz & 24's" on the biggest Hip Hop and R&B radio station in Arkansas, Power 92.3.
No stranger to early success, Yauncey is by no means close to the goals he's set for himself. He continues his hard work, creative growth, and quest for stardom. His debut mixtape, "WARNING!!!!!!," is scheduled to drop in mid-January. Be on the look-out and keep your ears open because Yauncey will definitely be heard from in the near future. Until then, you can check him out online and be amoung the first to hear about his upcoming appearances and collaborations.
